Meet the Owner, Imari Way:

Hey y’all! It’s so great to meet you!

Born and raised in the South, I’ve always had a deep admiration for Southern women. From the big hair and bold lipstick to the perfectly put-together outfits for even the most casual errands, Southern style is truly one of a kind. And let’s not forget the big Sunday family dinners, complete with sweet tea, football, and a strong sense of love, family values, and unwavering support passed down through generations. My mom, the cutest Southern belle you’ll ever meet, taught me that there’s nothing quite like the spirit of a Southern lady. We love our tea parties, tailgates, family cookouts, and, of course, a good reason to get dressed up!

In 2016, my mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and to lift her spirits, I started making glitter wine glasses. They were an instant hit, spreading joy, sparkle, and a bit of sass wherever they went! That’s when it hit me—glitter really can heal. I kept my 9-5 job for a while, but as life unfolded, I decided to take a leap of faith and open Southern Shine, an online boutique where women can find apparel and accessories inspired by the South—each piece with a touch of sparkle to bring that festive, chic energy to any occasion. Whether you’re headed to a tailgate, a family gathering, or a night out, we’ve got you covered so you can feel your best and maybe even win *best dressed* while you’re at it.

At Southern Shine, we want our #ShineSisters to feel empowered to step outside the box and shine bright—no occasion required!
